Green As Environmental Service

GAES (Green As Environmental Service) makes outdoor spaces sustainable and functional. With smart technology and data analysis, we create green areas that have a real impact on biodiversity, well-being, finances, and climate resilience. Measurable green for measurable happiness. Our GAES dashboard provides real-time insight into this impact, turning green into a valuable and measurable investment.

Making Greening Transparent and Tangible

We take a completely different approach! By using data, sensors, and—above all—conversations with people, GAES identifies what is truly needed in public spaces. Discover the real effect of green in your environment. Together, we prove the true value of green.

The value of Green

Green that proves its worth not only today, but also for decades to come—ecologically, socially, financially, and in terms of public health. We achieve this through carefully considered and well-founded advice on how to design outdoor spaces. It’s not about just planting a few trees or creating a small playfield. It’s about designing and monitoring a sustainable green environment that enhances residents’ well-being, increases biodiversity, and makes public spaces truly climate-resilient.

Our Story

In 2020, Wil Jacobs came to an important realization: everyone deserves more green—and more happiness—in their lives. As a living green encyclopedia, he knows exactly which tree belongs in which place. But words alone are not enough; proof matters. That’s why Green As A Service was born: a new standard that not only measures what green can do, but also allows everyone to benefit from its value.

Laak, The Hague

A special district of The Hague with many faces, Laak is a unique mix of old working-class neighbourhoods, typical Berlage houses and modern new buildings. For years, this area has been struggling with the effects of an excess of stone. This project marks an important step towards a healthier and more pleasant The Hague.

Building a greener world together starts with a good conversation.
